THE NEW PLEDGE

New Pledge of Allegiance (TOTALLY AWESOME) !

Since the Pledge of Allegiance
And
The Lord's Prayer
Are not allowed in most
Public schools anymore
Because the word 'God' is mentioned....
A kid in Arizona wrote the attached
NEW School prayer :
Now I sit me down in school
Where praying is against the rule
For this great nation under God
Finds mention of Him very odd
If Scripture now the class recites,
It violates the Bill of Rights.
And anytime my head I bow
Becomes a Federal matter now.

Our hair can be purple, orange or green,
That's no offense; it's a freedom scene.
The law is specific, the law is precise.
Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice.

For praying in a public hall
Might offend someone with no faith at all.
In silence alone we must meditate,
God's name is prohibited by the state.

We're allowed to cuss and dress like freaks,
And pierce our noses, tongues and cheeks.
They've outlawed guns, but FIRST the Bible.
To quote the Good Book makes me liable.
We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen,
And the 'unwed daddy,' our Senior King.
It's 'inappropriate' to teach right from wrong,
We're taught that such 'judgments' do not belong.
We can get our condoms and birth controls,
Study witchcraft, vampires and totem poles.
But the Ten Commandments are not allowed,
No word of God must reach this crowd.

It's scary here I must confess,
When chaos reigns the school's a mess.
So, Lord, this silent plea I make:
Should I be shot; My soul please take!
Amen

If you aren't ashamed to do this,
Please pass this on.
Jesus said,
'If you are ashamed of me,
I will be ashamed of you before my Father.'

FRIENDS

I AM VERY THANKFUL THAT GOD INVENTED 'FRIENDS'. WITHOUT THEM IT SURE WOULD BE LONELY. I WAS THINKING ABOUT HOW BLESSED THAT I AM TO HAVE SO MANY WONDERFUL FRIENDS. IF YOU HAVEN'T TOLD YOUR FRIENDS HOW MUCH YOU APPRECIATED THEM LATELY, THEN TELL THEM!!
WHAT IS A FRIEND? SOMEONE THAT KNOWS ALL YOUR FAULTS AND EXCEPTS YOU FOR WHO YOU ARE ANYWAY!

Last Quarter

Hi, I was just thinking, this is the last quarter for this school year starting tomorrow! I love teaching but I am very excited about summer! You should see some of these students cursive writing! WOW! They start cursive in kindergarten and perfect until the 6th grade and there are some beautiful scripts! Here is a picture of my graduating class in 1986. Can you pick me out?

PRAYER REQUESTS

Sometimes things seem to be going great but then sometimes it seems life falls on you and it is hard to breathe like tonight!
My nephew Tim and his wife Becca are separated. They have a baby that will be one years old at the end of March. Satan has really taken hold over there family and they need the Lord.
Also, one of my students at school found our that her parents are getting a divorce. They used to come years ago but quit and now "Aimee" is the only faithful one that comes and because she is faithful, she is able to come to the high school. She is such a dear and sweet girl that wants to do what is right. She is a wonderful example to even some of our own church kids. She really tries. Her and her twins birthday is this Saturday and she just found out about this this weekend. What a sad birthday!!
Please keep them all in your prayers ok?
I am so glad that I can give all things to my Dear Lord to deal with because there is know way that I can handle problems on my own. I just have to remind myself about "who 's in charge anyhow?"
